Les marchés fonciers ruraux au Bénin : dynamiques, conflits, enjeux de régulation

Abstract : In Benin, land market transactions have been developing for a few decades, with a strong contrast between regions where land sales are frequent (overall in the South of the country) and others (in the North) where it is absent. This paper proposes an analysis of the dynamics of land markets, with a focus on three regions where they are particularly dynamic. It questions the issue of their regulation, through the conflicts around sales, attempts to regulate land transactions by the communes and the prospects opened by the Domain and Land Code of 2013.
