Bouaflé : figure de ville résiliente dans le centre-ouest de la Côte d'Ivoire

Abstract : The article is a study of the stages of resilience with all the transformations that have occurred or are expected from the integration of descendants of immigrants of voltaic origin in the city of Bouaflé. Thus, after examining its reformist character, which helped to position it as a pole of integration, it is also analyzed its counter-reformist character. At this level, ethnic barriers are activated and function more or less as obstacles to integration development initiatives since colonization. From these different faces of the city, there is an analysis of the resilience within the city in terms of urban transition, stage of a new willingness to think its cohesion through a form of integration that corresponds to it. The study is part of the qualitative approach. The results obtained show that the resilient dimension of the integration of naturalized people does not constitute a development crisis but rather, allows to account for the complexity of the attempts of changes motivated by the renewal of ethnicization policies in the city, the struggles related to the valorization of new identity positions and access to the resources that consolidate them.
